ANGUILLA TOURIST BOARD  VACANCY NOTICE
 
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the vacant post of Marketing Information Systems Officer at the Anguilla Tourist Board.
 

Mandate

 

To develop and implement strategic research and planning initiatives to enhance the level and quality of information available to marketing and product development decision makers so as to improve their decision-making and reduce uncertainty and to ensure the Board’s goals and objectives.

 

Key Duties

  1. Develop, plan, and direct the conduct of market research and development strategies, plans and programmes so as to inform strategic marketing initiatives and actions of the Board;

  2. Research Visitor and Anguillian satisfaction with the Anguilla Experience;

  3. Design and implement a Competitive Intelligence System;

  4. Analyze Visitor Arrival Statistics;

  5. Gather Market Intelligence;

  6. Conduct Market and Product Research;

  7. Analyze Information from Market Intelligence, Market Research and Product Research through the use of Decision Support System (DSS);

  8. Disseminate market and product information in a timely manner;

  9. Develop and maintain a survey results database;

  10. Maintain Internal Records;

  11. Respond to enquiries from members of the public;

  12. Produce statistical information in the form of, press releases, pamphlets and newsletters;

  13. Assist with the devising and co-ordination of marketing campaigns;

  14.  Write and present reports on research findings;

  15. Encourage networking and economic growth in the tourism industry;

  16. Make presentations to local parties, community groups, and schools, as requested;

  17. Liaise with decision makers within the ATB, the Ministry of Tourism, the ATB overseas offices, visitors, local industry partners, the media and information sources in the marketplace and Anguilla.

The incumbent must be an energetic self starter who can work with minimal supervision and work on multiple projects.  The incumbent must also possess good writing and strong organizational and analytical skills, a working knowledge of research tools and computerized statistical software such as Decision Support System (DSS).

These knowledge, skills and abilities are normally obtained in the process of acquisition of a university degree in Economics or Statistics with at least 2 years experience in a research environment. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
