Introduction & AMBITIONS

This month our AnguillaLNT profile  is  17 year old Miss Ferneldra Carty,  who was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. 

The teen of Anguillian heritage, had most of her education in Anguilla, and is currently in  High School in Maryland, U.S.A.

Her post-Anguillla experience has been quite intriguing.  In her young experience, she has attended as many as 3 different high schools in one year, including a brief stint in Texas after being driven out of Louisiana by Hurricane Katrina.

Education

Fernelda is currently enrolled at  Leonard Town High School in Great Mills, Maryland  where her studies focus on Early Childhood Development. In this field she has achieved a most outstanding student award.

At Leonard Town high she has also formed a club called "The Region" where members explore  the Caribbean.

Primary: Road Primary School (Anguilla)

Secondary 1: Albena Lake Hodge Comprehensive School (A.L.H.C.S.) campus B where she received 3 merit awards and then completed 3rd form at the A.L.H.C.S. main campus.

Secondary 2:  Three months at North Shore High  in Slidell Lousiana. Following Hurricane Katrina, moved to texas temporarily.

Secondary 3: Six months at Killeen High in Killeen Texas

Secondary 4: Leonardtown High in Great Mills Maryland.
