Anguilla Development Board Volleyball Business league gets hotter

The atmosphere was right for some good volleyball action over the weekend. In the first game on Friday October 23,  MICUH was intent on correcting the loosing ways when they tangled with the Sports Department.  It seemed MICUH was too cold for Sports as they took the first set with relative ease.  The captain of the Sports Department Ian “Tucker” Connor then revved up his troops and they responded with good bumping and hitting. 

As the Sports Department ascended, MICUH descended the slippery slope of low moral and ultimately defeat.  The Sports Department won the game with scores of 23, 25; 25, 23; 15, 9. In the second game, team Statistics was intent on defeating Sunset Homes. 

They played with raw emotions during the first set, as a result of good hitting and blocking from Adonijah Richardson.  Stunned but not dazed, Sunset Homes fought back in with great tenacity through the animations of Lester Connor and Brandon Hennis. Their hard work earned them victories in sets two and three, thus sealing the match. 

The score lines for this game was 24, 26; 26, 24 and 15, 8. On Saturday, dominating team Construction dismantled the Teachers in two successive sets.  However it was not without resistance from Perry Richardson and his supporting teachers cast.  Unfortunately the triple towers of Sherwin “Skywalker Richardson and Javelle “Special” Brooks and Tyrone “Sunkous” Benjamin, made it virtually impossible for them to score points. Construction won the game with a score line of 25, 22 and 25 18.  In the final game of the evening, the ANGLEC Shockers were prepared to give the long arm of the law some sparks in their lives. 

The Police came out fighting but Justus “Bumsee” Connor and his team thwarted any forms of resistance.  Surprisingly “Damien “Denver” Lloyd stunned the partisan crowd with his spectacular hitting as he spanked the ball in all corners of the court.  ANGLEC won the game with a score of 25, 16 and 25, 10.
