The Royal Anguilla Police Force on Wednesday 28th March 2018 charged 46 year old Verne Oflaherty of Stoney Ground with the murder of Sulamita Fleming-Concepcion of South Hill whose body was discovered on Tuesday 5th December, 2017 at about 5:00pm in the Shoal Bay area. Oflaherty who appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.
He is scheduled to return to court on Tuesday 26th June, 2018 to answer to the charge.
38 years old Sulamita Fleming-Concepcion had been last seen around 12 noon on Sunday 3rd December, 2017 in the area of the round-a- bout at the junction of South Hill and Sandy Ground Hill. Her body was discovered on Tuesday 5th December, 2017 at about 5:00pm in the Shoal Bay. It is believed that she died as a result of a number of stab wounds she received.
