(The Valley, Anguilla) - The Honourable Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas while attending the just concluded Heads of Government meeting in Anguilla accepted an invitation from the St Kitts Nevis Association in Anguilla to meet with and address nationals of the Federation resident in Anguilla.

In a wide ranging address the Honorable Prime Minister spoke to the more than fifty nationals for more than an hour several pertinent issues, including the rationale for closing the sugar industry, the thrust towards a new service based economy, the education sector, land issues as well as the latest developments in the political arena.

The address was very well received and many questions ensued as nationals seized the opportunity to learn first hand what was taking place in the Federation.

In the end of the meeting, which was held at the Anguilla Public Library, sometime after 10:00 pm the Prime Minster was presented with a small token of appreciation by one member of the association, an official SKNAIA Polo Shirt, the Prime Minister being the very first to receive one of the shirts.

It was a very fruitful evening, and the SKNAIA wishes on behalf of all nationals of the Federation residing in Anguilla to thank Ms Eudora Nisbett of the Prime Minister’s Office for graciously facilitating the meeting, and the Honorable Prime Minister for acceding to the request to meet with the organization.
