Sunday May 3rd 2009 was a funfilled evening that will long be remembered as five chefs participated in the first annual Chef Cook-off at Veya restaurant, kindly donating their time and talent to make this event the first of its kind in Anguilla!

This year’s event “A Taste of Anguilla” scheduled for Sunday July 4th offers guests another opportunity to delight their taste buds, as participating chefs exhibit the extraordinary culinary talent of Anguilla! This time around, with the kind compliments of CapJuluca, the fantastic venue will be the Restaurant at TEMENOS GOLF COURSE!!

It will be an amazing spectacle to witness the five competing Executive Chefs/Executive Sous Chef  preparing  their signature dish up close and personal and in living colour in front of the guests:
•    Johnny Clero - Cap Juluca Resort
•    Daniel Leguenan - Cuisinart Resort & Spa
•    Charles Voudouris - Executive Sous Chef, Viceroy Hotels & Residences
•    Carrie Bogar - Veya
•    Thomas Chiarelli - Cote Mer

While the chefs cook their main dish patrons will tantalize their taste buds with delicious appetizers donated by Straw Hat, Da Vida and Picante Restaurants!

Guests will then become the official food tasters for “A Taste of Anguilla” as they move around to each chef’s station, taste each main dish and vote for their favorite one!. While the cook-off organizing team counts the ballots, guests will then be served mouth watering desserts contributed by Cuisinart Resort & Spa, Koal Keel and Viceroy Hotels & Residences.
Last year’s winner Chef Carrie Bogar, from Veya Restaurant, has again stepped forward to assist the school’s fundraising team to organize this event and to make this year’s Chef Cook-Off bigger, more exciting and even more challenging!

Don’t forget to put on your dancing shoes because during the evening there will be live entertainment by the ever popular British Dependency and then DJ Webb will keep the tempo rocking so that you can dance off those extra calories at the after party!

You don’t want to miss this unique show! Remember the date Sunday July 4th at 6pm at the Restaurant at Temenos. Feel free to wear our national colours as you join us for this tasteful event “A taste of Anguilla”
