Roberts and APP join forces with the AUM Government in Anguilla.

(The Valley, Anguilla) - With the apparent blessing of his party, the elected member of the House of Assembly for Sandy Hill , Hon. Jerome Roberts of the Anguilla Progressive Party (APP) has crossed the floor and joined forces with the ruling AUM (Anguilla United Movement) government. The announcement was made by Mr. Roberts prior to the start of the budget debate in the House of Assembly on  Monday June 28th. The move was welcomed by Chief Minister, Hon. Hubert Hughes, while leader of the opposition the Hon. Evans McNeil Rogers cautioned that he hoped the Robert's decision had the support of the people who of his district.

A position for Roberts within the government has not yet been announced, however, AnguillaLNT has learnt from reliable sources that further cooperation between the APP and AUM maybe  in the works.

Roberts won the East End District #2, previously held by former Chief Minister Osbourne Fleming in the 2010 elections. This move had been rumored shortly after the young politician was first elected.
