According to the Orlando Sentinel, Anguillian Jahmal Rogers
(19) died Thursday, November 8, as a result of a tragic car
accident near Ocoee in Orlando Florida on Wednesday, though
not technically incorrect the matter does require further
clarification. This was provided by a report published by
Fox Orlando on Monday November 12, 2007. According to Fox,
the teen was left "brain dead" after the accident last
Wednesday and was placed on life support while four
days of testing was done to determine whether or not he had
viable brain function. On Sunday his family, including
members who flew up from Anguilla, watched as life support
was removed.
The car was being driven by the teen's aunt, Geva
Richardson(27) of South Hill, who according to reports, suffered minor injuries. Another passenger
Corwin Carty (29) also of Anguilla is said to be in serious
condition at Health Central Hospital.
