November 22, 2007: The Royal
Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) has reported a total of nine
arrests during the week November 14 to 21.
Five (5)
persons were arrested for breaching the peace, two (2) persons for the possession
of offensive weapons, one (1) person for "suspicion of discharging a
firearm" and one (1) person for breaching a court order.
Police also report
that during the same period there were four (4) reports of theft, affecting
Sandy Ground, Long Path, North Side and Stoney Ground.
During the same period police say that there were four (4) reports of
Burglaries. There was one in Roaches Hill
where nothing was stolen. A burglary was also reported
at Scotia Bank in the Valley but again nothing was stolen. Kimmy's
Boutique in The Valley and Eldorado Mall in Water Swamp were also broken into
and inventories of stolen items are being done. Eldorado Mall is believed
to have lost a large quantity of Jewelry.
The RAPF say they are currently carrying out investigations into these matters. |
