December 17, 2007: In week four of the
Cable & Wireless ‘Everyone’s a Winner’ Christmas promotion the tempo picked up
pace and there were two lucky winners on the last day; just when it seemed it
would be a quiet week!
On Friday 14th
December at 1:00pm Mr Hugh Francis of Island Harbour visited Cable & Wireless
with a friend to purchase a SIM card. Much to the chagrin of his friend who had
encouraged him to purchase the SIM card, he struck gold and won himself a 4 GB
Apple Video iPod NANO. Neither of them could believe his luck! Mr. Francis
confessed that he is ‘not familiar with iPods but, looks forward to exploring
his new gadget.’
Meanwhile, on the same
day Ms Carolyn Flynn, originally from London, England and residing in Anguilla
since 2000, came in to the office to upgrade her cell phone. She purchased a
Motorola Pebl and qualified for a scratch card which, much to her surprise,
turned out to be a winner! Ms Flynn is now the proud owner of a Wii, a
new gaming system
from Nintendo. Ms Flynn indicated that she is ‘very excited’ and her winning is
‘fantastic’.

Background
Every time customers buy
a phone, sign up for Internet or Netspeak, or upgrade their package, they
qualify to receive a scratch card. Prizes include the new Wii gaming system
from Nintendo and the new video NANO Ipod from APPLE.
Customers also receive
an entry form for the grand prize draw with any purchase of a product or service
of EC$25 or more. First prize; a US$2000 travel voucher, 2nd
prize
US$ 2000 CASH, and 3rd prize a brand new 32 inch Plasma TV.
Customers can also enter into the grand prize draw by texting the word XMAS

Additionally, when
