Defeat South Africa - historic victory |
December 29, 2007: The West Indies have
completed an historic victory in
the most unlikely of places, temporarily halting a seemingly
endless slide. For most of the match the
Windies dominated, in no way resembling a team that has not
won a Test match in over 2.5 years.
It took only 4 days for the team
from the Caribbean, to exact a 128 run defeat on
their South African hosts at the Sahara Oval St. George's on
Saturday. It was the first Test victory on South
African soil for the West Indians and a perfect start for
Chris Gayle's tenure at the helm.
West Indies LEAD the 3 match series 1-0. |
