The planned series of appearances on radio, are a part of the continued awareness campaign for the CPA which was launched on October 2, 2007. It is being conducted by the Government of Anguilla (GOA) in conjunction with the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), under the theme, “Information for Action” - “Improvement for All”. The assessment aims to assess and evaluate the levels, extent and impact of poverty, on the population of Anguilla.

About the Survey of Living Conditions (SLC)

The survey of living conditions is a group of surveys used to collect quantitative data on individuals and households, including household expenditure through the use of questionnaires. This involves the enumerating and interviewing of a sample of households and individuals. The SLC will provide information on the characteristics of the population. Given the visible changes in Anguilla over the years, the SLC and a Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES) with questions that would provide data on labour be conducted. The expected outcomes for Anguilla, using this approach to the SLC include the following: • Measurement of Anguilla’s progress with the Millennium Development Goals MDG’s. • Information on household income and expenditure which would assist in the creation of a new basket of goods and services for the Anguilla Consumer Price Index (AXACPI).
