Excitement and anticipation crackled through the air the
afternoon of the draw as the five finalists assembled and
hoped that they had chosen the key that would open the door
and make them the Grand Prize Winner. KOOL FM 103.3 was on
hand to speak to the contestants and catch first hand their
excitement.
Breaths were held as contestant #1, Fred Porter, approached
the door and tried his key, then contestant #2, Michelle
Porter, who was followed by contestant #3 Fiona Curtis.
Unfortunately, none of those keys would be the one to open
the door You could feel the anticipation as the last two
contestants stood there and everyone wondered who had the
winning key.
Contestant #4 who seemed to be calmest during the event thus
far stepped forward. Her calm façade disappeared as
nervousness overtook her and her hand shook as she tried
putting the key in the door the wrong way. When finally her
hand steadied and she put the key in . . . it turned and
there was a winner – Jasmine Rogers of Long Path. She was so
excited that she was almost speechless, but the smile on her
face spoke volumes as she sat on her new red chair and
surveyed all that she had won.
When Ms. Rogers did catch herself she complimented Digicel
not only on their service as a mobile provider, but as a
company that always gives back to its customers and the
community. “Digicel has the best service. It couldn’t be
better. I’ve been with Digicel since they launched and I’m
here to stay,” exclaimed Ms. Rogers.
“The overall excitement of having a Grand Prize Winner and
seeing the look on Ms. Rogers face when she won was
priceless,” said Stephenie Brooks, Country Manger for
Digicel. “I was just as nervous as the contestants when they
were trying the keys and when it was down to the last two
contestants, I could hardly contain myself,” said Ms.
Brooks. “Congratulations to Ms. Rogers as the Grand Prize
winner and all the Digicel customers who won gifts during
our Christmas Promotion.”
