Valley Anguilla): Island Harbour
Primary School today witnessed the
continuation of the Ministers’ Tour of
all primary schools slated over a two
week period. The Honourable Chief
Minister Osbourne B. Fleming and the
Minister of Education Evans Mcniel
Rogers were present as were the
Education Officer Primary Miss Vida
Harrigan and Permanent Secretary Mervyn
Foster Rogers.

Chief Minister Fleming in his brief
remarks reiterated his comments on
monetary empowerment and the rationale
for having a savings account. He further
encouraged the students to develop good
social practices and healthy living
styles. Mr. Fleming had the students
making several pledges reciting after
him. Additionally, the Chief Minister
highlighted the need for students to
attend church on a regular basis. He
also admonished the students to express
their love and appreciation to their
parents and teachers on a continual
basis.
Mr. Rogers in his presentation further
highlighted the importance of applying
managerial skills. Mr. Rogers told the
audience that by managing their time and
lives success was inevitable. Rogers
encouraged the students to be disciplined
and focused as Anguilla one day will be
counting on them to be leaders.
The Ministers are slated to attend
Campus B on Friday, February 8th, 2008.
