February
14, 2008: SHABEAU Magazine (acronym for Shades of
Caribbean Beauty), an international publication which
features Caribbean designers, models and entertainment
practitioners, has announced that it will be adding
Anguilla to its repertoire come April 2008.
According to Kofi A. Branch, Senior Editor of the
Barbados based prestigious publication, SHABEAU has been
highlighting positive aspects of Caribbean people since its
launch in 2003. In addition, annually since 2005, SHABEAU
has been hosting the Face of Shabeau Caribbean
Competition in Barbados; a competition that seeks to name
two cover models/ambassadors (one male and one female) for
the magazine for the period of one year. In addition to
gracing the cover, previous winners have traveled to Fashion
Shows throughout the Caribbean and on occasions, to
South America.
In 2008, male and female models living in Anguilla will have
the opportunity to be a part of the competition and possibly
fulfill their dream of becoming an international model - as
an international model contract is up for grabs. SHABEAU
Magazine is looking for persons between the ages of 16 and
25. Males should be at least 5'11" tall while females models
should be no shorter than 5'8".
The competition will be part of Shabeau Magazine Style
Weekend on April 19th and 20th in Barbados at the Sherbourne
Conference Centre.
