(The Valley, Anguilla) February 16, 2008: In just
under 2 weeks, Anguilla will join five other neighbouring
islands in the hotly contested Leeward Islands Debating
Competition (LIDC).
The 2008 LIDC is scheduled for February 28 – March 2, in St.
Kitts and is being hosted by The Clarence Fitzroy
Bryant College and its Literary & Debating Society.
Teams are expected to arrive in St. Kitts
throughout the day on February 27 and according to sources,
this should include a formidable contingent of team members
and individual observers from Anguilla.
Anguilla's 2008 Debating Team is comprised of,
Sangrena Harris (captain), Quinson Gumbs, Shountae Boothe,
Shereena Richardson, Melissa Mussington and Olufunmike
Banks-Devonish - all senior students at the Albena Lake
Hodge Comprehensive School.
Harris and Richardson will get the tournament started on
February 28 and should they be successful, they will be
followed by Gumbs and Mussington on the 29th. The complete

terrorist threat to that country.

Combating the spread of HIV/AIDS in the Caribbean

Winner Debate # Three vs Winner Debate # Four
Moot: The absentee
and/or negligent father is mainly responsible for the
proliferation of gang activity.
