Saturday  Football - Sunset Attackers vs Doc’s United

(The Valley, Anguilla) February 17, 2008: Football was reanimated on Saturday 16th February 2008 on the Webster Park annex as the Sunset Attackers took on Doc’s United.  The Sunset Attackers continued from where they left off by demolishing their opponents from start to finish.

Ian “Sugar George” Edwards opened the scoring and his teammates followed his example. Sensational striker Addi “Sham” John (# 10) contributed three goals to increase the lead to three nil.  Melvin “Mello” Angle also took part in the goal feast as he pounded in one goal to put the Attackers ahead five nil.  To stalemate the onslaught, Doc’s United tried fortifying their defense and sending an occasional run through.  Unfortunately neither tactic worked, as in the second half the goals came like rain form the heavens.

The amazing Addi “Sham” John caused more havoc by running through the defense and creating chances for his teammates.  Once again the left footed Ian “Sugar George” Edwards found him self as the sole recipient of two easy goals.  Addi “Sham” John (# 10) was not totally altruistic as he pounded in another goal of his own sending his tally to four for the game.  It seemed like everyone from the Attackers wanted to score.

Midfield general Kenrick “Sulker” Emanuel (# 7) pounded in two goals of his own pushing the game further out of the reach of Doc’s United.  The verdict was confirmed when Reginald Mangeree (#19) and Junior Anthony (# 12) each scored a goal.  The match ended with a twelve nil beat down of Doc’s United.
