Four of the forty seven are from Tobago and will join the
camp from 10am today. The youngsters will be taken through
their paces, learning basic cricket skills and other drills
and exercises by certified coaches Kenny Benjamin and Keith
Arthurton, both former West Indies players.
The youngsters will receive assistance in the spin bowling
department from legendary former spinner Lance Gibbs and the
young wicketkeepers will work with West Indies wicketkeeper
Denesh Ramdin. Ramdin's teammate Ravi Rampaul will also lend
his assistance in taking the kids through their routines.
The Antoine, Phillip and Katwaroo siblings are three of
seven pairs of siblings selected for the clinic. The
Mohammed brothers, ten year old Akeel and eight year old
Qadeer along with their nine year old cousin Kadeem
Mohammed, all from Princetown, are also participating.
Today each participant will receive a Digicel gift pack
inclusive of a t-shirt, back pack and cap. Upon completion
of the clinic on Saturday, the best batsman, bowler, fielder
and wicketkeeper will also receive special grand prizes from
